Colorado Moms Tour: Bethany Drosendahl Discusses Data Privacy in Schools
Bethany Drosendahl of Your Open Gate (and a Colorado mom) discusses data privacy in schools – from something as seemingly simple as a school directory to your child’s health records (and so much more) is included in the ‘data footprint’ that is created for every single child in the system. She explains why this is an issue and what parents can do to become engaged about the data being collected and shared on their child. She also discusses different ways parents can choose to opt out of certain data collection points at school.

Oh, and by the way, you’re going to pay for it, but I’m not going to you how much it’s going to cost you.
Anybody? No. No, we’re not interested in that, are we?”
“Child by child, and year by year, growing what our children and our communities need…”
