Download the Operation Predator App | #FightBackin5

The issue of predators targeting children online is a scary topic. For today’s #Fightbackin5 we wanted to share a way that you can stay informed and maybe even help the government with its battle to fight child exploitation. At times it is hard for the government to keep track of fugitives and unknown suspects. That is why the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has created the Operation Predator smartphone app and is seeking the help of the public.

According to the ICE.gov website, this app “enables users to receive alerts about wanted predators, to share the information with friends via email and social media tools, and to provide information to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) by calling or submitting an online tip.” The app also lets users know about arrests and the prosecution of predators. Within the app there are resources available for people to learn about ICE and its efforts to stop child exploitation.

To get involved and participate in this #FightBackin5 you can download the app – it is available for both iOS and Android phones.

Should you ever have information about the fugitives profiled, HSI requests that you contact the agency – which can be done through the app. According to the ICE.gov website, you can:

  • Call the ICE Tip Line, which is staffed 24-hours a day: (866) 347-2423 from the U.S. & Canada or (802) 872-6199 from anywhere in the world, or;
  • Complete an online tip form at ice.gov/tips.
